Unattended Children

It is the policy of the library to provide a safe and appropriate environment for library users of all ages. The library is however, a public building and is not equipped nor is it the library's role to provide daycare for children of any age.

Supervising Individuals and Groups

Aside from the planned programs, services and activities designed for specific age groups, the library staff is not responsible for supervising individuals or groups of users

Age Ten and Under

Children under the age of ten must remain with parent, guardian or responsible party over the age of sixteen while in the library, including the Children's room and restroom.

Library Programs and Activities

A responsible parent, guardian or childcare provider over the age of sixteen must remain in the library throughout the program when children ten and under are attending a library program or activity.
