A REVAMP OF GUESS WHO?

This game is appropriate for pre-Kindergarten (with adult supervision) and up.

​Object of the game:

• Participants will be able to characterize objects in our Universe, and be encouraged to contemplate their properties.

The game has instructions included and will be at the library during the length of the summer reading program. Can't find it sitting out? Just ask a librarian for it. Made at the library for the library with donated game boards.

Make sure you bring a friend to come on in to try it out!

SORTING ACTIVITIES: HOW BIG? HOW FAR? HOW HOT?

Suitable for Pre-Kindergarten and up. These are able to have up 2 to 10 or more players per question/deck of cards at a time. 
​Key Concepts:

• There are many different types of objects in the Universe.
• The different objects have different physical sizes and can be organized relative to one another by their size.
• The different objects are located at various distances from us and can be organized by their relative distance from the Earth.
• Objects in the Universe and on our planet have a widely different temperature variation and can be organized by their average temperatures.

Interstellar Travels (Kinda like CandyLand but for space)

Suitable for Kindergarten and up. (the Player pieces are small and should be monitored by an adult while playing with young children so as not to be ingested)
Key Concepts: 

• Younger children learn to interact with game play.
• There are many different planets in our Solar System. (This board game contains many of them from Start - Sun - to the Finish -end of our solar system. 
  
• Continue to be engaged in outer space concepts (planets, stars, etc.)

ROCKET MODEL (CREATED AT THE LIBRARY!)

Stop by the library during the Universe in Stories program and see the "rocket" made by our technology assistant, Tami. It has been constructed and held together with special "space tape" (Duct Tape) this space craft will be on display in the Youth Room for the little children to play with until it blasts off into space.

It would go great with our Dress Up Box costumes as well so feel free to use it as a prop for photo opportunity at the library.
