Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Chesley Memorial Library to assemble, preserve, and administer, in organized collections, books and related educational, recreational, and informational materials in order to promote learning, inform citizens, and to enrich personal lives.
Meet the Staff
Library Director Donna Bunker started working at the Chesley Memorial Library in 1987, when it was only one room and she was the only employee. Back then you would find Donna at the circulation desk every day checking books in and out. She enjoys the rare chance when that happens today because it is truly a pleasure to interact with patrons of all ages coming to the library for books and services. The library and staff have expanded over the years, but the library’s mission to “promote learning, inform
citizens, and enrich personal lives” remains the same. Donna was deeply honored to be named Library Director of the Year in 2000 and Library Director of the Year in 2018, thanks to support from the library
staff and trustees and community. Donna looks forward to what the next chapter brings!
