Teen Book Club
The Chesley Memorial Library’s Teen Book Club, for ages 12 and up, meets on the last Thursday of the month (depending on holidays). Each month we discuss a commonly read book over goodies. Book club begins at 5:30pm and ends at 6:45pm. The Teen Book Club is a fun way to read great new books and hang out with friends at the same time! Want to have a say in what we read? At each meeting members vote for a later month’s book choice! Registration is required to ensure you get a copy of the book. To register call the library at 942-5472. |

Teen Forum
The Youth Department at the Chesley Memorial Library is seeking teens that love the library and want to help shape its teen services! The Teen Forum is a group for teens aged 14 and up who want to suggest materials that the library should purchase for teens to check out, such as great books, programs and videos. Members will work on projects such as setting up displays, writing for the Teen Page, and planning book discussions or other programs. Members may help at library events. Community service minded teens are encouraged to join. If you are interested in participating in the Teen Forum the library does need some paperwork from you (I know, I'm sorry!). If you are between the ages of 14-15 we need working papers from SAU 44 (located across the street on RT 43). The Employers Request form and Volunteer Policy form that you need to fill out are provided below. Teens aged 16 and up need to fill out the Volunteer Policy. Teens do NOT have to develop a service plan if they only wish to participate in the Teen Forum. An interest in serving others in the community and in participating in the meetings regularly is helpful. For more information, call the Chesley Memorial Library or stop in and see us! Blank copies of the forms are available at the library. The finished forms will need to be filled out by a librarian before turning them in at the SAU. |
