Teen Forum
The Youth Department at the Chesley Memorial Library is seeking teens that love the Library and want to help shape its teen services! The Teen Forum is a group for teens aged 14 and up who want to suggest materials that the Library should purchase for teens to check out, such as great books, programs, and videos.
Members will work on projects such as setting up displays, writing for the Teen Page, and planning book discussions, or other programs. Members may help at library events, and will publish a newsletter of book reviews and original writing and drawing. Community service minded teens are encouraged to join.
If you are interested in participating in the Teen Forum the library does need some paperwork from you (I know, I'm sorry!). If you are between the ages of 14-15 we need working papers from SAU 44 (located across the street on RT 43, the initial form is available below) and a filled out Volunteer Policy. Teens aged 16 and up need to fill out the Volunteer Policy. Teens do NOT have to develop a service plan if they only wish to participate in the Teen Forum. An interest in serving others in the community and in participating in the meetings regularly is helpful. For more information, call the Chesley Memorial Library or stop in and see us! Download the Volunteer policy below! (Filled out copies are available at the library. The blank form below will need to be filled out by a librarian before turning in at the SAU.)
